If you have saved data on a removeable medium (flash drive, floppy
disk, ZIP disk, etc.), make sure you follow these steps so you don't
lose data.
- Right click on the partition icon.
- If ``unmount'' is an option, click ``unmount''.
If an error message appears, try to close
all windows and applications first, then repeat from the first
step.
Once a partition is safely ``unmounted'', you can remove the medium.
