To control the direction of rotation of a DC motor, a controller only needs
to control the polarity of the electrical potential applied to the
terminals of a DC motor. This is typically done by a device called an
H-bridge. The construction of an H-bridge is out of the scope of this
class. From the software perspective, we use one bit to control the
direction of torque of a DC motor, that's it!
