6.2.4 Appearance

This tab controls mostly superficial options. However, several options can, potentially, be useful.

If you have a high resolution monitor, but don't want text to appear too small, you can change the font size. There are only three options, but that's better than none. Note that ``Normal'' is the smallest font.

If you use a slower computer, you should click ``Effects'' and unselect most of the effects options. Most of these effects make the desktop look better at the expense of processing power.

Click ``Advanced'' to customize options at a very low level. You can spend lots of time tweaking options in this dialog box.
