There are two ways to move the caret around in Word. The first method
is to use the pointing device. Move the pointing cursor first, then
click to move the caret to the same place. If you need the caret
to a point out of the page being displayed, use the scroll bar on
the right hand side. Drag the bar up to go to prior contents, and
drag it down to go to following contents. Note that scrolling does not
move the caret! You need to click to move the caret.
The second method is to use the keyboard:
- Cursor keys (Up, Down, Left and Right): moves the caret
up, down, left and right.
- Home/End: moves the caret to the beginning and end of a line.
- Page Up/Page Down: moves the caret up and down by a screenful.
- Control left/right: moves the caret to the previous and following
word.
- Control up/down: move the caret to the previous and following
paragraph.
- Control Home/End: move the caret to the beginning and end of
the entire document.
