4.3.2 Moving Around

There are two ways to move the caret around in Word. The first method is to use the pointing device. Move the pointing cursor first, then click to move the caret to the same place. If you need the caret to a point out of the page being displayed, use the scroll bar on the right hand side. Drag the bar up to go to prior contents, and drag it down to go to following contents. Note that scrolling does not move the caret! You need to click to move the caret.
